Satourne
Satourne is an original card game I created around the world of cinema, with a specific focus on the science fictiongenre. The project draws inspiration from iconic films of this genre, their futuristic worlds, memorable characters, and boundless imagination.
The name is a wordplay combining the planet Saturn and the French expression “ça tourne” (“it’s rolling”), traditionally said at the beginning of a film shoot. This dual meaning directly connects outer space with the seventh art, turning the planet into a symbol of cinema itself — a creative universe around which stories, images, and emotions revolve.
The game includes a timer, adding rhythm and intensity to each round, echoing the fast-paced energy of a film set. The visual universe features a central planet, fictional beings, an astronaut, elements of space, and audiovisual tools referencing film production. Together, these components build a cohesive and immersive world designed to engage all ages.
The graphic identity is built around mostly rounded and slightly tilted shapes, suggesting rotation, movement, and the idea of “rolling.” The color palette combines bright, vivid tones with deeper, darker contrasts, reflecting both the vastness of space and the visual intensity of science fiction cinema. This contrast captures attention while maintaining strong harmony, giving the project a clear, dynamic, and memorable identity.
